Haven't been updating lately - mostly due to laziness - but a lot's happened since 03. For starters, I remade my layout yet again, putting the portfolio at Version 3.0. I've updated a few sigs, added a manip, and created a completely new original piece titled 'Catharsis'. The design itself is incomplete, having not included the owl yet or finished the tabs for Contact and Tabs (a section I've decided to implement for guitar tablature in gp5 format to freely distribute everything I've put on Ultimate Guitar because the users there don't know how to rate tabs). I also put NivoSlider on the site for the sake of previewing my latest work. Gotta remind myself to reinclude prettySociable for the sake of sharing my work.
Still waiting on word from Carthage as it seems their budget's tight lately. Did the design for Cupcakes Customized and uploaded to my portfolio, however. Also revamped the No Wooden Nickels page. It will take a lot more work, however (even excluding the user interface). For example, I'm not sure yet how I should go about implementing a 'What's New' section, though I'm considering having a docked div fixed to the bottom or side.
Looking into copyright registration for web designers. I doubt anybody's going to infringe upon my work, but I don't want to put anything past the clients, lest I find myself in Designer Hell like when I first began designing for profit... in other news, my back feels like it's breaking. Gotta get a real mattress unless I want a stress fracture in my spine before the age of 20 without even playing any sports.

Update 003
Huge update! Site's been completely revamped. There's a nice banner up top sliced from my newest piece titled 'splash'. In it is the 'ver 2' of the Kwonnie (now KwonARTS) Owl. With that comes some more imagery for the portfolio and a new favicon!
On my external HDD, I found PSD's for ~23 sigs I still like. Yesterday I took the liberty of uploading them all to the site along with another four straight from my designated Facebook album. Check 'em out!
The project with Carthage still seems to be a go, so I look forward to working with them.
I'm thinking about adding an avatar-arranged thumbnail-ish layout for the portfolio tab. We'll see. More to come!
(Still no idea as to why the timestamp on my feed is connecting to the same time for every item... it's bothering me =\.)

Update 002
Still waiting on content from No Wooden Nickels. In the meantime I think I'll slowly update a few extra pages to the portfolio via Lightbox. I don't think the boutique graphic design job is going to work out considering I got no word back, but I suppose this is good opportunity to start freelancing considering expenses for this month are almost paid off.
Tre Watson of the band Carthage has promise of job designing his bandcamp and likely other social networking services. We'll see what comes of that next week. I think I'll be toying with vector designs until then. I finally decided what to do in the way of a logo - this being an owl - in reference to my nocturnal habits. I'm hoping this choice will better associate with me commercially.
I'm still browing Craigslist for job offers, though it seems every potential gig keeps falling through. Hopefully I'll find something somewhat long-term this time. Tomorrow I'll likely be wrapping up the design for my portfolio completely and start getting more work to upload. It'd be great if I had the stuff from my hard drive to provide though, for sure.

Update 001
Switched portfolio over to new server at comxa.com. I liked netne.net, but what can you do? I had to get this done. In any case, the tabs are looking good. I made the links display in the corresponding color underneath each tab and I finally got started on the portfolio section - replete with lightbox photo effects! I realize the portfolio is the most important aspect but I can't really do anything until I get all my work from No Wooden Nickels sent in. In the meantime, I'll be uploading logos from other sites slowly. And when I get access to my hard drive, I'll be uploading textless sigs that I like the most. Admittedly, I may have gone a bit overboard with the social networking links, but I don't care much. I like the buttons, needless to say.
I'll be applying for a junior designer position in downtown LA. Hopefully I'll be able to get that position so I can start to get a steady payroll. It seems promising. On the other hand, I definitely need an extensive portfolio if I want to succeed without pursuing a college degree. It really bites knowing you need a degree to tell someone you can code when you've been doing it since you were half your current age...
In other news, Melon my dwarf hamster gave birth today! She had five-six babies and they're all cute and red! I'll be uploading some videos to Facebook for all to see shortly.
